Hi, I'm Emma
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Ottawa, Canada.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Relocating to Canada wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily chores felt more complex than they needed to be.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created ZimelNovarQuati
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Canada.
